They are making products that Steve Jobs and others in the company want to use themselves. They are still exploring this new age of the computer and internet with fresh eyes. It's not just about the money, as it is with most other businesses. They are creating the future, not cashing in on the present.

Enjoyed the positive conveyance of this article and your new attitude. You're past analsys have been more of total market behavior which has been dire and unfortunately aapl cannot escape this downtrending reality and lack of confidence. There have always been reporters and analysts that use every opprtunity to bash aapl and overdue Steve's health issues to drive the stock down to the detriment of many shareholders. Fundamentals be damned. I've loved aapl since my first Ipod that I bought from HP. I used to build my own PC's but I finally switched to Mac's. The elegant design and ease of use and the fact that I don't have to hit ctrl,alt,del once or twice a day or reinstall windoze because I can't keep crap from popping up on the screen infected by some virus, is a dream come true. I now own 2 mac-mini's 15 ipods(most I gave to friends), 2 apple TV's, 20inch Imac and 13 Inch Macbook, 2 Iphones, 2 airport extreme's g & n and look forward to my next purchase of a Macbook Air and 24 inch Imac. Mac's are the best and I'll never buy another windows device or software ever again and I tell everybody I know the same thing. I've made alot in aapl over the years and lost quite a bit this year but I have no doubt the sun will shine on aapl again when fundamentals rein superior. Everything you mentioned is true. To really understand you have to own an apple product to experience it for yourself. I'm no fanboy but I know quality and great product experience and Apple has them all.

reason 10, Apple is a total ecosystem unto itself that works seamlesly together. The last 2 pieces of the puzzle are turning AppleTV into a total media center with gaming and unlimited internet and media content and the perfection of mobileme cloud computing. Once accomplished GAME OVER

i agree with bob and freebee and bryan. if you're going to spout opinions out there in the UniVerse, you must know the universe sings in many verses, so it's best to have a thick skin where required. Plus comments on the web , and especially those on stocks are notoriously wraught with hostility, etc. It's just par for the course.

I am a recent Mac convert and NOW I understand the Apple following! I love it for all those reasons mentioned above - one other thing - NO VIRUSeS or memory hogging anti-virus software ! Oh and imagine this - vents in the BACK instead of underneath like my PC laptop, so I can actually put the laptop on my lap! Mac's RULE!!
